#Wrenhaven City Council
Councillors have approved a 24-hour service on three of the city's busiest bus routes, aimed at hospital staff, hospitality workers and late-night travellers.
The 2.4-kilometre lane will be separated from traffic by a raised kerb and planters, with work beginning in February and the seafront road reduced to one lane each way.
Councillors have approved a three-year programme to lift the Old Quay sea wall by up to 90 centimetres after waves repeatedly spilled over it last winter, flooding cellars and closing the harbour road.
Three office buildings that have stood largely vacant since staff began working from home are being converted into homes, the biggest scheme of its kind the city has approved.
Patched goalmouths, rusted frames and waterlogged corners will be tackled in a phased programme, with the first 20 sites chosen after residents and local clubs flagged the worst problems.
Motion-sensing LED lamps fitted in Netherby and Bramley Cross use 70 per cent less electricity, and residents in the trial streets say they barely noticed the change.
